“Early childhood interventions of high quality have lasting effects on learning and motivation.” (James J. Heckman)

We believe in the power of early childhood development at Easter Seals Oklahoma. Our program focuses on the development of each child in an integrated environment for children of all abilities, ages 2 to 6 years.

We offer a comprehensive early education program with unique program enhancements exclusive to Easter Seals Oklahoma.

Easter Seals Oklahoma is now enrolling  for fall 2017!

The full day program is appropriate for the age and developmental level of each child – giving them one more year to learn and be challenged in a small typical classroom setting before transitioning into a public or private school.

The teaching is based on knowledge of how young children develop and learn. The learning environment fosters all areas of development: intellectual, language, physical and social; and provides the challenge for children to learn according to their individual abilities and growth patterns. All children will have access to our onsite Peer Integration Program, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Recognitions and Accreditations

The many enhancements to our program key into your child’s cognitive, social, and physical capabilities and opportunities for discovery, including utilizing the HighReach Learning curriculum. This is all combined with a healthy balance of learning and recreational activities.

Your child will have access to many programs including:

Medical Rehabilitation Program with on-site speech therapy, evaluations, and screenings, and occupational therapy. Functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans, and discrete trial training is also available.

Peer Integration Program

Social Skills Group– Group sessions focus on teaching social skills to children with autism, social deficits, and or related developmental disabilities. Children will learn a variety of social and behavioral skills that will help them interact appropriately with others and develop friendships.

Parent Support– Families are encouraged to participate in educational workshops and specialized training sessions offered by Easter Seals Oklahoma. Home visits are also offered to families who need more behavioral support at home. In addition, we assist in the IEP process when transitioning to public school.

School Consultations– Consulting services designed to support the staff and the students. We offer training for teachers that support children with special needs and in the area of behavior management.

Intergenerational Program – one of only two in the State of Oklahoma. The Intergenerational program offers structured therapeutic activities through the Adult Day Center and offers benefits of enhanced communication skills, promoting self-esteem, developing problem solving abilities, and fostering friendships across generations.
